The Company installs, repairs, and maintains grain handling equipment for local cooperatives, elevators, and farmers. In 2016, revenue was generated from construction services (35%), material and equipment sales (33%), labor (20%), and crane and forklift service (12%).
Equipment & Services
The Company also retails welding gasses and supplies, bearings, belts, and sheaves, and has a millwright onsite. It owns 5 cranes from 20-ton to 65-ton for use in grain handling projects and for setting homes, trusses, and moving equipment, in addition to several forklifts and man- lifts. They provide hydraulic crane rental service complete with a crane operator.
Persistent & Growing Demand
Iowa has only 1% of all US population. But, it’s farmland and factories produced 10% of US corn exports and 7% of US pork exports in 2016.
The Company is reporting it has more work than it can keep up with at this time.
The Company primarily serves farmer cooperatives (90%) as well as home builders (5%), individual farmers (3%), and retail customers (2%) in Iowa. Two owners work full-time and are supported by five full-time team members.
Located in the heart of agri-business corridor, the Company’s office and
warehouse facility was established in 2002 with new warehouses added in 2006 and 2012.
The facilities are owned by one of the owners, who is flexible to sell or lease the facilities to new ownership in conjunction with a business sale.

While the Company has as many as six competitors in this market space, they have established a list of over 500 satisfied customers.
Because of its reputation for results within the region it has served for 30+ years, the Company is well respected and enjoys repeated referrals via word-of-mouth. Ninety-five percent of its business is for prior customers.
